The Digital Library Unit organized a two-day workshop for the teaching staff members, teaching assistants and librarians. The workshop was attended by Director of Automated Libraries Project Rehab Swiefy and Lecturer of Libraries and Information Science Naser Abu-Zaid.

The workshop was conducted by a panel of trainers from international companies together with trainers from the Digital Library Unit. Trainers were Mr. Mahmoud Dawoud, from Sage Company, and Messrs Hosam Al-Zeblany and Maher Qenawy from the SCU.

The workshop aimed to tackle the following databases: Portal – ISI – Saga –Emerald – Springer – Ovid – Academic Search Complete (ASC) - IEEE ProQuest – Science Direct – JSTOR.
